During the first trimester, workshops, activities, and other initiatives have been carried out with the aim of teaching young people the main regulations in this field at schools and institutes in the municipality.

The Roquetas de Mar City Council, through the Local Police Road Education Office, continues its educational work to improve and expand the training of students in the municipality on road safety.
During this first trimester, a wide-ranging program of workshops, interactions, and other activities has been carried out, which began last September as part of the European Mobility Week where regulations on personal mobility vehicles were addressed in institutes and other areas such as inclusive road education for young people with special needs.
Additionally, during Mobility Week, a workshop on road safety awareness and personal mobility vehicles for adolescents was held. From the Office, it is reminded that traffic accidents are the leading cause of mortality worldwide among young people according to the WHO. For this reason, work has been done on the students' emotions through testimonies of traffic accident victims, educational campaign videos on accident prevention, and they have been able to experience the sensation of being under the influence of alcohol using simulation glasses.
In total, classes have been given at IES Turaniana and El Parador to a total of 1,533 students.
On the other hand, on the occasion of the Bicycle Day, the Road Education Office performed traffic regulation and road safety control functions, providing service on bicycles while coordinating and directing more than 1,000 people who participated in this activity.

Collaboration between administrations
The Roquetas de Mar Road Education Office, through agents Rafael Moya and Ricardo Alemán, conducted a Children's and Pregnant Women's Road Education Workshop within the framework of the I Road Education Conference of Villanueva de Córdoba-Los Pedroches.
During the practical session, a training seat simulating that of a vehicle was used, equipped with a seat belt, isofix, and different child restraint systems (CRS). Attendees learned how to correctly install these systems, a fundamental knowledge given that, according to data from the Baseline Project of the European Commission, 54% of Spanish families do not know how to use them properly, posing a serious risk to the safety of minors. According to the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT), correct use of child restraint systems can reduce the risk of death by 80% and serious injuries by 90% in the event of an accident.
Educational centers
Classes have been given to a total of 1,508 in primary education centers through three sessions: The Bicycle, vehicle and fun Maintenance and Repair Workshop for the Bicycle and Bicycle Route.
1533 ESO and Baccalaureate students have participated in the Road Safety and Personal Mobility Vehicles Awareness Workshop for adolescents. Additionally, 4,410 interactions have been carried out in Primary Education, about 354 students have participated in the Biciescuela Roquetas de Mar activity, and 178 students have taken part in the bicycle routes.
In total, approximately 7,070 interactions have been carried out in Road Education from September to the end of December 2024.
