Roquetas de Mar is preparing to welcome the arrival of the Three Wise Men from the East.

About 600 people will participate in the three parades that will be held in different areas of the municipality: Roquetas center, El Parador, and Aguadulce

The Roquetas de Mar City Council has everything ready for Their Majesties the Three Kings from the East to visit the municipality. For this, three parades have been organized in different urban areas such as Roquetas center, El Parador, and Aguadulce.

At 5:00 in the afternoon, the first of the parades will leave the Multipurpose Building of La Gloria, which will travel along Calle Motores, Avenida de la Paz, Violeta, Paseo El Limonar, Paseo del Palmeral, Avenida Carlos III towards Almeria, Calle Virgen del Carmen until reaching the Church of Aguadulce.

At 7:00, the parade will begin in Roquetas center leaving from the Castillo de Santa Ana. Their Majesties the Three Kings of the East will be received by the mayor of Roquetas de Mar, Gabriel Amat, who will welcome them to the municipality before starting their route, which will continue along Avenida Antonio Machado, Calle Puerto, Avenida de Roquetas de Mar, Paseo de los Baños (against the traffic direction), Calle Sócrates, Avenida. Juan Carlos I, Avenida de Roquetas de Mar (against the traffic direction) to the roundabout of Paseo de Los Baños, Avenida Villapalos, Plaza San Cayetano, Calle Real and Plaza de la Constitución.

At 7:30 in the afternoon, the third parade will leave from the church of El Parador, starting at the Plaza de la Iglesia to continue along the Alicún road, Calle Almería, Sevilla, Mármoles, cross Alicún road to the parallel, Carlos Arniches, Plaza Concha Espina, Benito Pérez Galdós, Mayor, Julio Cortázar, San Miguel, Abeto, Hortichuelas, Numancia, Galatea and back to Plaza de la Iglesia.

Tomorrow, Saturday, January 4, at seven thirty there will be a parade in Las Colinas from the royal stand on Calle Miguel Martínez to tour the main streets of the area and end at the royal stand at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Additionally, this year the parade included a large security team between the Local Police, Civil Protection personnel, security guards, and controllers with the aim of ensuring safety during the parades in different parts of the municipality. Regarding the health team, it will be guaranteed with four ambulances with medical staff.

About 600 people, among artists and extras, will participate in the various shows of the royal procession. The royal pages will be in charge of distributing more than 8,500 kilos of duck candies for celiacs and gluten-allergic people and 10,000 bags of 50 grams of sweet coal. Also, more than 1,800 barriers will be placed around the modified itinerary to avoid overcrowding, and people with reduced mobility will be able to enjoy the parade in an area set up on Avenida Juan Carlos, in front of the taxi stand.

During the parade, floats of great thematic variety will parade: mail, nativity scene, chocolate house, Smurfs, Musical Coco float, along with various parades and dance and batucada groups that will accompany the three royal floats.

Additionally, on January 6, the visit of the Three Kings to the neighborhood of the 200 Houses is planned to distribute candies to the little ones and residents of this area.

From the Roquetas City Council, a call is made for responsibility and prudence to enjoy a safe parade. For this, the Local Police have offered a series of recommendations to ensure its normal development so that the various parades take place without incidents.

Envoys of Their Majesties

The envoys of the Three Kings of the East have been received by the mayor of Roquetas de Mar, Gabriel Amat, who has delivered to them the crowns of Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthasar.

This year, this great responsibility will fall on the manager of the Torrecárdenas University Hospital, Manuel Vida, the traumatologist, Antonio Rios Luna, and Francisco Mendez, a resident of the municipality.
